How about an apparition of a house?

Strange things tend to happen to my family. Some of the strangest and most bizarre events seem to occur when I'm not around, when my wife and daughter are left on their own. Our most recent encounter with the paranormal is no exception.

The other day, during a tempestuous storm, my wife was driving my daughter to a doctor's appointment. They found themselves on a back-road detour. At one point along the route they sighted a very run-down, evil-looking, boarded-up house sitting alone in an overgrown field about fifty feet back from the road. My wife noticed board-covered upper windows and front door, boarded-up garage or shed alongside, and the generally overgrown look to the field within which the house sat. My daughter also noted a broken downstairs window, sans boards, and that the chimney had partially crumbled.

A sudden realization overcame them both as my wife and daughter became convinced that they had just laid eyes upon one of the more infamous local haunted houses. According to the stories, lights flash in the empty, boarded-up house, and those windows not boarded-up open on their own and even break. The alleged location of this house is in the same general area as the house my wife and daughter saw.

Hoping to give me a chance to see a spectral abode with such an evil reputation and an ill-favoured look, my wife drove the three of us back out on the same route. I was eager to catch sight of this infamous house, but lo and behold, the house wasn't there!

We drove up the street, then turned around and drove back down it. My wife and daughter tried in vain to find the house they knew they had seen on the prior trip, while I looked carefully for any structure that would match their description. A few run-down houses mingled amongst the newer homes, and there was at least one abandoned old house on the route, but nothing matched what my wife and daughter had seen. The one clearly derelict house stood too close to the road, had too many vines growing upon its walls, and had too many trees around it to be the squat, lonely domicile of phantoms spied a few days before.

Making doubly sure there was no mistake, once home I scoured the street-level view of the area on Google maps. To the best of their knowledge, my wife and daughter narrowed the location down to one particular stretch of road. Where the house should have been, the street-level view showed only open field. And even the field itself appeared less wild than my wife and daughter remembered.

Even taking into account the terrible conditions of the day, the details of the sighting are intriguing. Obviously my wife and daughter did see a dreadful house that day. The question remains, where did the house go?

I have no idea if the legendary haunted house still stands on that same road. Is there a chance that this infamous building had been torn down in the recent past? There has been a lot of new construction in that area. The removal of a dilapidated building with a nasty reputation would probably raise property values.

Basically, did my wife and daughter actually see a ghost house? Did they see the spectral vision of a house that no longer exists in the material plane? Even if this wasn't the actual house in the stories we've heard, there was definitely something strange afoot that day. Having read of similar stories, of other instances of ghostly buildings appearing one day and then disappearing the next, I wonder.

After I first started seeing fairies while I was in bed, and other elemental type phenomena, I started becoming aware of when they were crawling on me. Some of the times I could actually see them, but its difficult to visually discern while they are doing this. What I've experienced, is that when I sleep with no shirt on, and am not underneath the covers, I can feel them actually massaging my back; it feels like dozens of them are on me sometimes when they are doing this. I can perceive this best during times of my life where I am really stressed. The first I experienced this was when I was hospitalized early in the year because the doctors thought I was suicidal, though I know I wasn't. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?

The transiting moon moves through each zodiac sign for 2 1/2 days each month. I've observed that the transiting moon has a significant impact on our emotions relative to our individual charts. Specifically, I feel at my best and am most optimistic at the time when the moon is moving through the sign of my Venus, which in my case is Leo. In contrast, I feel at my worst when it is moving through the opposite sign of my Venus, which would be Aquarius. I also feel good during the times when its moving through my sun and moon sign (both exact conjunct in Virgo, 8th house), and again, I feel horrible when its going through the opposite signs.
